             J.W. Smith

James W. Smith 59, of 205 Mays Street,  Charlevoix, Mich., died of a heart attack Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. He was a representative of a meat packing business.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix.

Mr. Smith was born Nov. 5, 1910 in Montgomery County, son of J. Rupert Smith, Clarksville, who survives, and the late Beulah Perry Smith.

Survivors in addition to his father are his widow, Mrs. Geneva Powers Smith; whom he married August 2, 1940; a daughter, Mrs.

Patricia Drost, Charlevoix, Mich.; a brother, T.E. Smith, Joliet, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. E. D. Heath, Nashville; Mrs. L. J. Konya, South Bend, Ind.; Mrs. V. E. Sensing, Clarksville; Mrs. D. A. Dewberry, Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren.

He was a member of the

Congregational Church, was a Mason and a member of the Lions Club.
