Miss Powers

Miss Addie Powers, 89, retired school teacher, died at11:30 a.m. Monday in Clarksville Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
She was a resident of 302 Castle Heights.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at McReynolds Funeral Chapel by the Rev. T. W. Mayhew Burial will be in Greenwood.
Miss Powers was born inMontgomery County Oct. 17,1880, daughter
of the late Samuel B. and Mary Williamson Powers.
She was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church.
Miss Powers taught school in Montgomery County over 45 years. She was active in the American Red Cross for several years and was a member of the Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors are a sister, Miss Sue M. Powers, Memphis and five nieces and eight nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Marable, Jim Hiter, John Hiter, Jim
Thomson, Russell Hiter, Alvis Johnson, Wiley Powers, R.C.
Marable, and Dan Mitchell.
