In the name of God Amen. I John Teasley Senior of the county of Montgomery and state of Tennessee being sick and low on health though sound of mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of this body, knowing it is appointed for all men once to die, do state and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner o form following viz----Just after all my just debt’s paid, I give to my son John Teasley one Negro girl named Easter to him and his heirs forever, I give to my Wife Lucy Teasley one Negro widowhood, I give to Adam Brown One Hundred dollars to be levied out of my Estate, Also to my son Thomas Teasley I give one feather bed and furniture, one cow and calf. And all residue of my Estate both Real and personal, my desire is shall be equally divided between my Wife Lucy Teasley and her surviving children,-----
And I appoint John Teasley Jr. and Abner Gupton my whole duly Executors this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said John Teasley hath---herewith let my hands do affixed my seal the Twenty Eighth day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixteen.
