Obituary of
Mable Waldrop
Sept. 5, 1983

Mable Lou Waldrop of 1024 Coulter St. died Monday at Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

She was a retired, seamstress and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave Chapel with the Rev. John David Laida officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home until the service.

A native of Montgomery County, she was born Nov. 22, 1906, a daughter of the late George Wilson Fort and Nannie Mae Burney Fort. Her husband, Frank T. Waldrop, died in 1966.

Survivors include two brothers, Donald Fort of Columbia, S.C., and Dr. Geroge Wilson Fort of Abbeville, S.C.; and a sister, Ruth Chato of Clarksville.

Pallbearers will be Charles Burney, Jimmy Drye, Kenneth Grizzard Jr., Bill Jobe, W.C. Baggett, Willie P. Coleman, Irie Milliken and Charlie Heaton.
