Obituary of
Johnny Fort
Dec. 11, 1981

CEDAR HILL-S.P. "Johnny" Fort, 78, Route 2, Cedar Hill, died this morning at his residence.

Services will be at 1 p.m.. Saturday at Associated Funeral Home in Springfield with the Revs. Bill Reding and Clark Flatt officiating. Burial will be in Mallory's Cemetery in Cheatham County.

Mr. Fort was born Oct.. 22, 1903, in Robertson County, the son of the
late Wiley Burgess Fort and Sarah Elizabeth Winters Fort.

Mr. Fort was a farmer and was a member of Head's Free Will Baptist Church in Cheatham County. He also was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Lillian Hunt Fort of Cedar Hill: three daughters, Connie Mayo, Pleasant View, Susanne Baltz, Whites Creek, and Mary Beth McCraw, Cedar Hill; brothers, David J. Fort and W.T. "Bussie" Fort, both of Springfield; sisters, Susie Eley and Clara Bell Stack, both of Chapmansboro; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Thomas Ellis, Denny Ellis, Powell Ellis, David Cairia. J.T. White, Z.E. Sensing, Jepper Sanders and Sonny Chester.
