Mary Sharlotte Hambaugh, 88, 904 Highland Road, Birmingham, Ala.,died Monday at her home after an extended illness.

Mrs. Hambaugh was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Birmingham.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.. Thursday. No local visitation is planned. Tarpley's Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

She was born in Montgomery County, the daughter of Robert D. and Mattie Harris Fort. Survivors include her husband, Frank L. Hambaugh; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Lee Drake, Ripley, and Mrs. Virginia Grabr, Ashland, Ky.; and three grandchildren.
