State of Tennessee, McNairy County
Know all men by these presents, that we, G.W.
Hurley and wife, Lula Hurley
have this day bargained and sold to A.R. Hurley
for the consideration of seven hundred and fifty dollars
to us in hand paid and the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged the following tract of land, lying and
being in McNairy County, State of Tennessee, and bounded
as follows: and in the 14th Civil District of said
County and beginning at the northwest corner of a lot
now owned by E.L. Blankenship runs
eastward with said Blankinship and J.W.
Ledbetter north boundary line four
hundred and twenty seven feet more or less to the north
east corner of the J.W. Ledbetter lot thence north with
Paul Eakers and Robt. Surratt
west boundary line four hundred and three feet more or
less to the south east corner of lot now owned by T.W. ?
(or T.E.?) Smith then westward with
said T.E.? Smith and T.J.
Hurley, south boundary line two hundred and
eighty eight feet to the north east corner of L.A.
Hurley's lot thence southward with L.A.
Hurleys east boundary line and west
bank of old ditch also with the A.L.? Derryberry
gin lot and west bank of old ditch four hundred feet
more or less to the beginning corner said to contain
about three acres more or less.
To have and to hold the same to the said A.R.
Hurley and his heirs forever, we covenant with
the said A.R. Hurley that we are
lawfully seized and possessed of said land, and have a
good right to convey same, and that it is unincumbered
in any way; and we bind ourselves and heirs to warrant
and forever defend the title of the same to the said A.R.
Hurley and his heirs forever, against
the lawful claims of all persons.
