I, George W. Arnold of the county of
McNairy and state of Tennessee of the one part and A.J.
Kincaid of the county and unto
aforesaid of the other part witnesseth, that the said
George W. Arnold being justly indebted
to the said A.J. Kincaid in the sum of
$175.00 due ___ by a note dated first January 1847 and
due on the first of January 1848, and the said George W.
Arnold being anxious and desirous to
secure the said Kincaid in the payment
of the said sum of money do by these presents for and in
consideration of the premises? aforesaid and also ___
further sum of $1.00 to the said George W.
Arnold in hand paid by the said Kincaid
the receipt hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and
delivered ...following property one sorrel mare 8 years
old, 1 ma?? mule, 2 years old, 1 black mare? 10 years
old, 4 cows and calves, 1 yoke steers, 5 head of young
____, 10 head of sheep...
