CRITTENDEN'S FORK
This church was named for James Madison Crittenden who gave the ground
for this building.
Reverend Charles Eaton was the first pastor. This church was considered to be the strongest rural church in the county. Crittenden's Fork was later to become Goodsprings Baptist Church
in 1881 when a frame building was erected using oil lamps on the present
site. It was used as a school until about 1923
