{"id":534,"date":"2012-07-22T18:30:11","date_gmt":"2012-07-22T23:30:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/maury\/?p=534"},"modified":"2019-01-03T16:15:29","modified_gmt":"2019-01-03T22:15:29","slug":"ragan-nancy-1905","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/maury\/ragan-nancy-1905\/","title":{"rendered":"RAGAN, Nancy (1905)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">Nancy Ragan&#8217;s Will , admitted to Probate Oct 9, 1905<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">I<strong> Nancy Ragan<\/strong> being of mature years, of sound mind , and considering the\u00a0frailty of life and the certainty of death, do make and publish this as my\u00a0last will and testament which is as follows to wit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">That my burial expenses shall be paid and my doctors bill if there be any.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">That my personal property shall be distributed as follows ;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\"> To my son <strong>John<\/strong> one dollar, to my daughter<strong> Martha Robason<\/strong> one dollar, to my\u00a0son<strong> James<\/strong> one dollar, to the children of my daughter <strong>Lemiza Brown<\/strong> one dollar\u00a0equally devided between them, to my son <strong>Andrew<\/strong> one dollar, to my daughter\u00a0<strong>Mary Robason<\/strong> one dollar, to the children of my daughter <strong>Elizabeth Brown<\/strong> one\u00a0dollar equally devided between them, to my daughter <strong>Susan Robason<\/strong> one dollar,\u00a0and to my youngest son <strong>Neely Ragan<\/strong> I give and bequeath all the remainder of\u00a0the property that I possess both personal and real, of every character and\u00a0description to have, hold and control as he may see cause to do with , any\u00a0and all such property as I may be possessed of at my death.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">I have let my son <strong>Andrew Ragan<\/strong> have fifty dollars in cash which I relinquish\u00a0in consideration of his having built two chimneys , one to my dwelling house\u00a0, the other to my kitchen. I would further state there is a judgement on <strong>W.\u00a0A. Glenn&#8217;s<\/strong> docket in my favor and against <strong>Allen Adcock<\/strong>, which with the above\u00a0mentioned property shall also go into the hands of my son Neely in order to\u00a0assist in the payment of my burial expenses , and further compensate him for\u00a0the support he has given me , and the care he has taken of me for the last\u00a0twenty five years. I also desire that my grandson <strong>John T. Robason<\/strong> shall not\u00a0be allowed a house on the\u00a0above mentioned realty. I hereby appoint my son Neely Ragan as my executor\u00a0and that he shall not be required to give hand as such.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">I declare this to be my last will and testimony whereunto I set my hand\u00a0calling on <strong>W. M. Andrew<\/strong> and <strong>D. A. Johnson<\/strong> for witnesses and signing in their\u00a0presence, this the eighth day of August , Eighteen Hundred and Ninety Nine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">Nancy (her x mark) Ragan<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\"> Witnesses,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\"> W.
