                 on 1 Sep 1864. Thomas was a captain and company commander in the 47th<\/sup> TN INF, CSA<\/p>\n

                 Newton Jasper Smiley served as a 1st<\/sup> LT in Company G, 32nd<\/sup> TN INF, CSA.  Later he<\/p>\n

                 served as Trustee of Marshall County.  He and his wife, Catherine Hall, are buried in the<\/p>\n
