Am trying to find the maiden name of my great-great
grandmother,Lucinda. My gg-gf Bennett M. MURPHY came to Marion Co TN
abt 1829from Bedford Co VA. He married a woman named Lucinda b. TN
and on the1850 US Census of Marion Co TN the family was listed as
follows:Bennett MURPHY, 52, b. VA, Lucinda, 41 b. TN, Euel D., 13 b.
TN,Sarah, 12 b. TN, William, 9 b. TN., Caroline, 5 b. TN. They lived
inthe Seventh District at that time. I believe Bennett died in
TN.,because I next found Lucinda living in Ellis Co TX with her
daughter,Sarah COX and her family. Any help would be
appreciated.

I have finally found parents for my
g-grandfather, James Vaughn, b.1874. He was buried 1918 in the Oak
Grove cem. on the Grundy/Marion co Tn line.James parents were Robert
Vaughn b. abt. 1849 possibly Coffee cotn. His mother was Jemima
Coffelt b. Jan. 1850 in or around Coffee & Bedford co Tn.On the 1900
Grundy co Tn census, Robert & Jemima are found withchildren Doil
Vaughn b. 9/1882, Katie Vaughn b. 4/1886, & Elis Vaughn
b.3/1889. The older children, including James, were not in the
household in 1900. Jameswas married and listed on the same census
with his new wife Pouannie Street. akaLummie.James & Lummie had
children George, Rural, & Ella, all born in theearly 1900's. Rural
died in Letcher co Ky, Ella in Harlan co Ky, & George in Tx.I would

I am trying to find
where the DONOHOO'S came from. They arrived incentral Kentucky in
the early 1800's settling in Nelson County,Kentucky. Suspect that
the first DONOHOO'S may have come to Kentuckyfrom Tennessee with
Father DeRohan. He was a catholic priest whocame to KY from
Tennessee and brought settlers from Tennessee andNorth Carolina with

I am looking for information on James YOUNG.
He would have diedsometime in the late 1800's to early 1900's. He
married a woman(great grandmother) named WHITAKER, but nowhere is her
given name inprint. They had daughters, Amanda and Laura (twins),
Estell, Bessie,boys, Will, Henry, Robert YOUNG.Estell and Bessie
married BURROUGHSmen and Amanda maried a SAMPLES. According to my
mothers memory theywere all from South Pittsburg, Tenn, and Marion
County. Amanda Samples died in South Pittsburg, and so did Bessie
Burroughs,but I have not found any information on this to date.

MARY ANN KILGORE, born about 1872, is listed on an1880 census as an 8
year old in the household of CRAVEN KILGORE mar.to AMANDA SCOTT in
Marion County. MARY ANN KILGORE MAR. HENRY RUTHERFORD about early
1900's. I have found many KILGORE'S BEFORE CRAVEN KILGORE, and after
, butthe link I have not been able to establish is HIS PARENTS. THAT
ONEGENERATION seems to elude my search. At some time during or
before her marriage, Mary Ann KilgoreRutherford moved to Signal Mtn.,
Tenn, Hamilton County, and remainedthere until she died. She was

Richard HALL b: 1832 in Tennessee
(Marion County?) There is a RichardHALL listed in the 1850 Census
Records not sure if this is ourRichard HALL. He was listed under his
mother's name Mahaly (Richard'sson Thomas HALL named one of his
daughters, Harriet Mahala,interesting) and two sisters. Our Richard
HALL married first HarrietNUEL (NEWELL) second Harriet's sister,
Margaret SURGINE. We are notsure when Richard HALL left Tennessee
but he was in Arno, Missouriin March 1862 as his son Thomas Calvin

I am trying to find the families of my
great-grandparents. JohnWesley KILGORE was born abt.1880 and died
1931. He may have been bornin Mounteagle, TN. He is buried in Orme,
TN.He had a brother namedFrank. He was married twice. By the first
marriage he had a daughternamed Rachel(she married a Mathews). Then
he married Fannie EsterPAYNE. Fannie was born 3-21-1885 in TN. She
was killed 4-10-1957 inPerry CO.,KY. Fannie had two sisters Linda(who
married a Rollans) andLouisa (who married a Pickett). Fannie mothers
first name was a Mary.Now Fannie father died young, so Mary later
married a Thomas.John W. KILGORE and Fannie PAYNE had nine children
together. Theyoungest being my Grandpa, Willie Cloys KILGORE. Willie
was born10-13-1924 in Jasper, TN. Or maybe Orme, TN. Can anyone help

I have found my great
great grandfather, Orange tucker in a Boone co.AR 1870 Census. It
shows him as being 45 and from TN. His wife isMatilda and she was 35.
They have 9 children. All are from TN except5 of their children.
Louisa Lavinia was 20, Elizabeth was 19 Geo A.was 17 Martha was 15.On
the IGI addendum I found an Orange Tuckerborn in 1821, in Marion, TN.
I know nothing more on this family. andam desperately trying to find

Does anyone have a
listing of the 1960 Census for Marion County? Need to see if there
are Crawfords listed, specifically a WilliamThomas Crawford. One of
my Crawford clan, Mary Elizabeth Crawford was born onMarch 26, 1861,
in either Polk County or Marion County. Knowingif papa William was

Luna Janeway. Iunderstand that Martin's mother Sarah Janeway Hamic,
