Will of Sara Hall Johnson

BE IT REMEMBERED that I, Sara Hall Johnson of Northampton in the commonwealth of Massachusetts, being of
sound mind and memory, but knowing the uncertainty of this life, do make this my last will and Testament.
After the payment of my just debts and funeral charges, I bequeath and devise as follows:
To Gertrude Smith Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia all my furniture, household belongings, clothing and
articles of personal adornment of every kind.
For the children of said Gertude Smith Jackson and Dr. Wm. A. Jackson born of their wedlock with each
other all the rest and residue of any kind.
I nominate said William A. Jackson executor without surety or official bond.
In testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and in the presence of three witnesses declare this to be my
last will this Sixth day of October in the year one thousand nine hundred fifteen:

On this sixth day of October A.D. 1915 Sara Hall Johnson of Northampton Massaachusetts, signed the
foregoing instrument in our presence, declaring it to be her last will; and as witnesses thereof we three
do now at her request, in her presence, and in the presence of each other, hereto subscribe our names.

I Sara Hall Johnson, now of Monteagle Tenn do hereby make and publish this as a codical to my last will
and testament, which was executed in Northampton, Mass, on the sixth day of October 1915, and to which
this codical is annexed.
I give and bequeath to William A. Champaly should he survive me ($100.00) One Hundred dollars;
I bequeath & device [sic] my home place near Monteagle, Tennessee and where I now reside to Gertrude
Smith Jackson & William A. Jackson now of Tracy City, Tenn. for their natural lives and upon the death
of either of them the survivor to hold the same for life. remainder in fee to their children.
The bequeath of the residue of my estate in the will executed on October 6, 1915, to be subject to the
above bequest & devise, All the rent [sic- rest] of said will and the provisions I reapprove.
In testimony whereof I set my hand in Monteagle, Tennessee this the 27th day of August 1923.

presence this 27th day of August 1923. And we in her presence and at her request and in the presence of
