Last will and testament of Mrs Elizabeth Jane Clay of South Pittsburg, Marion County, Tennessee

I, Elizabeth Jane Clay, do make and publish this as my last will and testament.

First, I direct my funeral expenses and all of my just debts be paid as soon after my death as possible, out of my funds that I may die possessed of or may come first into the hands of my executor.

Secondly, I give and bequeath to my beloved nephew John Gaddis of Rockfield Ky and to the beloved niece of my late husband John H. Clay and my niece by marriage, Mattie Dixon of South Pittsburg Tenn to be equally divided between my said niece and nephew, all of the property both real and personal that I may die possessed of, and it my desire that each of then use same in just such way and manner as will best serve their needs and comforts. I hereby vest them with full and equal power of conveyence [sic].

Lastly, I nominate and appoint R. A. Hudson of South Pittsburg Tenn as my sole executor, who shall serve without bond.

In witness whereof I do to this, my will, set my hand this the thirteenth day of September, nineteen hundred and twenty (1920)
