Will of J. E. Teague

I, J. E. Teague, do make and publish this, as my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all others by me at any time made.

First, I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible, out any of moneys that I may die possessed of, or may first come into the hands of my executors.

Secondly, I give in trust to my wife Lawie V. Teague all the lands I now own or possess or may hereafter own or possess and all the personal property. I own or possess, consisting of Horses, Cattle, Bank Stock, Automobile, Wagons, Mowing Machines, Rake and all farming tools I now own or may have after own or possess.

Said wife Lawie V. Teague to possess said lands and said real estate and control and use the same as her own, to support, and educate my unmaried [sic] children, until the youngest one has attained the age of twenty one years. I also desire her to give each of my children at marriage seventy five dollars in cash and a milk cow.

Thirdly, when my youngest child has attained the the age of twenty one years, I give and bequeath to each one of my first wifes children, viz Ida Barker, Mattie Barber Lula Richards the sum of twenty five dollars this being the difference in the amounts that my first and last wife paid into the estate.

Fourthly, I direct that after the seventy five dollars has been paid to Ida, Mattie and Lula that my wife V. Teague may have her choice of a dower or a childs part in the division or partition of my estate.

Fifthly, After my wifes dower has been set aside I direct that the remainder of my estate shall be equally divided or partitioned amoung [sic] all my heirs. Viz Ida Barker, Mattie Barber Lula Richards, Corine Barker, Clayton Teague, Bertha Teague, Joe Teague, Mable Teague and James Edward Teague.

Lastly, I hereby nominate and appoint J. R. Morgan as my executor.
