Will of Frank C. Hughes

I Frank C. Hughes, of the town of South Pittsburg and state of Tennessee, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, in the manner and form following.

First:  I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as can conveniently be done.

Second:  I give and bequeath to my Aunt Mrs Fannie T. Lyons of Louisville Kentuckey [sic], the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00)

Third:  All the residue and remainder of my estate, real, personal and mixed wherever situated and of which I may die seized or possessed, or to which I may be entitled at the time of my decease, I give devise and bequeath to my wife Carrie L Hughes, to have and to hold the same to her as her property, absolutely and forever.

Fourth:  I nominate, constitute and appoint my wife Carrie L. Hughes and my brother, Dr. W. M. Hughes of Morristown New Jersey Executrix and Executor of this my last will and testament and in case of the death or inability to act of either prior to final settlement of my said estate the survivor shall have the same power as is herein conferred upon these jointly, I further direct that my said executors shall not be required to give any bond or security for the proper discharge of their duties or otherwise.

Fifth:  I here by revoke all former and other wills and testamentary dispositions of my property by me heretofore, at any time made.

In witness whereof I have hereto subscribed my name at my residence in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, This Twenty Seventh (27th) day of October Nineteen Hundred and Thirteen (1913)

in the presence of Joseph Lodge and Charles L Ingersoll, whom I have requested to become attesting witness hereto.

Hughes as and for his last Will and Testament, in our presence, and in the presence of each of us, and we at the same time, at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, hereto subscribed our names and residences as attesting witness and This Twenty-Seventh (27th) day of October, Nineteen Hundred Thirteen (1913)
