I John Tucker, being in ill health, but of sound mind and perfect memory blessed by God for his merices realizing the frailty and the uncertainty of human life, and being desirus [sic] of directing how the estate with which it has pleased God to bless me, shall be disposed of after my decease, I do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making null and void all other last wills and testaments by me hereto made.

As to my worldly estate and all property, real personal or mixed, of which I shall die seized and possed [sic] or to which I shall be entitled, at the time of my decease, I devise, bequeath and dispose of in the manner following:

1st. It is my will that all my just debts and funeral expences shall by my executor hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease, as shall by him be found convinent [sic].

2nd. It is my will that my wife Lula, and my children, nameley Della, Elizabeth, Junia, and John D shall share equally in the division of the cash proceeds of my estate and that my children namely Della, Elizabeth, Junia and John D pay at once to my wife, Lula, one hundred and twenty-five dollars each out of their share of my estate and that for and in consideration of this cash payment well and truly, to be made by them to my wife, Lula, she shall relinquish all her right and title by dower or homestead in my house and lot and that said house and lot go to my children to have and to hold and be disposed of by them as they wish.

3rd. It is my will that my children out of the proceeds coming to them from my estate do erect a memorial gate at North gate of Morton Memorial M. E. Church, South with an expenditure of not less that three hundred dollars or more if they wish and it would be my pleasure for Morton Memorial Church to lay a five-foot concrete sidewalk the entire length of the North fence and from said Memorial Gate to front steps of the church.

4th. It is my will that my wife, Lula, shall have all her personal belongings and that she shall share equally with my children in those things which have come into the house since our marriage.

5th. I do nominate and approve D. T. Tucker to be the executor of this my last will and testament in testamony [sic] whereof I the said John Tucker have hereunto subscribed my name this October the 24th 1912.
