Will of J. B. Rogers

I, J B Rogersof Marion County Tenn. being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. And as to my worldly estate and all the property real personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit:

My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executors hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall be found by them convenient.

I give and bequeath to my beloved wife C. J. one bed and enough household and kitchen furniture to keep house if she so desires. I direct that my executor hereinafter named sell the remainder of my personal effects Except one fashion calendar clock which I give to my grand daughter M. A. Smith and give my beloved wife C. J. one third of the proceeds of same to use for her maintainance [sic] during her natural life and if anything remains of my effects after her decease and funeral expenses, I desire it shall revert back to my legal heirs. All the rest and residue of my estate of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at my decease I give devise and bequeath to be divided equally between and among my son W. J. Rogers and grandson W R Rogers and daughters F. A. Yates M. J. Guthrie S. E. Barns N. E. Hackworth M M[?] Smith and R M Smith and lastly I do nominate and appoint J B Smith and (blank space) to be executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal
