Will of W. R. Choat

State of Tennessee
Marion County
I, W. R. Choat of Marion County, Tenn Being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and
declare this to be my last will and testament to wit:
First: that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first fully paid out of the money I have
on hand if no money then out of sale of my personal estate, and it is my will and desire that
the balance of my personal estate be equally divided between Austin Choat and the heirs of my
daughters Mary Jane Price, Syntha Price, Ruth Vista Henderson and Vina Henager.
Secd. I give devise and bequeath my realty as
follows. My son Calvin Choat is to have the south one half of the tract of land known as the
Cotnam tract as is fully shown by deed made by J. C. Beene and wife to myself and reference
is hereby made to said deed and said Calvin is also to have the north half of what is known as
the D. Russell tract and reference is made to deed from D. Russell to myself for full
description of the same. It is my will and desire and I hereby will and bequeath to my son S. R.
Choat the north half of the Cotnam tract of land and the south one-half of the D. Russell
tract and reference is made to said deeds for full description. It is my further will and
desire and I hereby will and bequeath to my daughter Martha E Price one tract of land known as
the J. J. Arendale tract and reference is made for full description to deed made by J. J.
Arendale to myself. Also, she Martha E. Price is to have the tract of land known as the W W
Cotnam tract and reference is made for full description to deed made by W W. Cotnam to myself.
It is further my will and desire and I hereby will and bequeath to my daughter Tennessee Thomas
one tract of land known as the Mary P. Arendale tract and reference is hereby made to deed made
by Mary P. Arendale & Minnie Williams to myself. All of the above described Real Estate
is situated in the 14th Civil district of Marion County, Tenn in what is known as Dorens Cove.
I nominate and appoint my sons Calvin Choat and S. R. Choat to be the Executors of this my last
will and testament with hull power to act without giving bond. I hereby revoke all former wills
by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28 day of Dec 1898.
