Be it Remembered that I Jacob Houts of Sequache [sic- Sequachee] Marion County Tenn being of Sound Mind and Memory but knowing the uncertainty of this Life do make this my last will and Testament.

After the Payment of any just Debts and Funeral Charges, I bequeath and devise as follows

2^nd

I Desire that my Faithful wife Sarah Houts may Retain Possession of my Home Place in the Town of Sequachee, and the Furniture and Personal Property for her use and Benefit During her Life and at her Death, the said Property Real and Personal to be Divided Equally Among my Heirs

3^rd

And all other Property of which I may Die Possessed, both Real and Personal of any and all kinds I Give and Bequeath to all my Heirs to be Divided among them Equally share and share alike

4^th

In testimony whereof I here unto set my hand and in the Presents of these witnesses Declare this to be my last will this Nineteenth day of May in the one Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Eight

On this 19^th day of May A. D. 1898 Jacob Houts of Sequachee Tenn Signed the foregoing instrument in our Presents Declaring it to be his last will and as witnesses thereof we three do now at his Request in his Presents and in the Presents of Each other hereto subscribe our names
