Will of Mrs. Lizzie Pearl Armstrong

In the name of God Amen.

I Mrs. Lizzie Pearl Armstrong now resident in Marion County State of Tennessee being of sound mind and disposing memory Knowing the certainty of death Do make and publish this as my last will and testament Hereby revoking and making void all others by me at any time made

First- My will and desire and I will and direct that my funeral expenses and my just debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any monies that I may have on hand at my death or first comes into the hands of my executor

Secondly- I give will and bequeath to my son Harry Pearcy Armstrong my undivided one half interest in the House and Lot in the city of South Pittsburg Tenn owned by myself and my son J. P. Armstrong Should my said son Harry Pearcy Armstrong at any time desire to sell and convey his said one undivided half interest the said House and Lot herein bequeathed to him there and in that event it is my wish that he should give to his brother J. P. Armstrong the first refusal to buy of him the said undivided one half interest in said House and Lot and secondly to give to his other brothers each the refusal to buy of him the same. Should my said son Harry Pearcy Armstrong die without children then in that event I will and bequeath to my sons James L. Armstrong and Charles L. Armstrong in remainder the said undived[sic] one half interest in said House and Lot owned by myself and J P Armstrong

Thirdly- I will and bequeath the remainder of my property not otherwise disposed both real and Personal in Equal shares to each of my four sons to wit Charles L Armstrong J. P. Armstrong James L Armstrong and Harry Pearcy Armstrong each share and share alike

Lastly. I do hereby nominate and appoint my son J. P. Armstrong as my Executor of this my last will and testament

In witness whereof I Lizzie Pearl Armstrong testatrix do to this my last will and testament set my hand and publish this my last will and testament in the presents of the witnesses hereto [illegible word] Signed subscribed in my presents by my request on this the 20 day of February one Thousand Eighteen Hundred and Eighty Nine
