Will of J. A. Hargis

Know all men by these Presents I Johnathan A. Hargis of the county of Marion and state of
Tennessee being on a Bed of affliction and in my Rite mind wishing to make some arrangements
as to my Property not being in debt Except two notes a note to Chastity Hargis and one to
Syrena Hargis being non Residents of the state said notes being Two hundred and Twenty five
dollars Each when given I wish these notes paid out of my Personal Property on hand as as[sic]
soon as Possible
Not wishing an Administration on my Estate I therefore direct and empower Sarah Hargis my wife
as my agent to take full control of my estate and to collect and Pay all my Debts
Whereof I this 30th day of April 1875 in the Presents of these witnesses affix my seal
