{"id":233,"date":"2014-02-02T15:03:24","date_gmt":"2014-02-02T21:03:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/macon\/?p=233"},"modified":"2014-01-18T15:04:42","modified_gmt":"2014-01-18T21:04:42","slug":"nichols-versie-inez-d-1959","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/macon\/nichols-versie-inez-d-1959\/","title":{"rendered":"NICHOLS, Versie Inez &#8211; (d. 1959)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Versie Inez Nichols Dies at 62 Years<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. Versie Inez Nichols<\/strong>, 62, died suddenly July 15 at her home in the Ebenezer community of this county.\u00a0<strong>Mrs. Nichols<\/strong> had fallen six weeks ago and broken a hip, but until recently.\u00a0Funeral services were held at the Ebenezer Baptist church on Friday, July 17 by <strong>Elders W. T. Russell, Genie Gregory<\/strong>, and<strong> T. C. Jones<\/strong>. Burial was in Haysville Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist church.\u00a0<strong>Mrs. Nichols<\/strong> was a native of Macon county, the daughter of<strong> Jim O. and Vickie Smith Russell<\/strong>.\u00a0She is survived by her husband, <strong>Thomas Nichols<\/strong>; three sons <strong>Clarence Nichols<\/strong> of Madison, and<strong> Ray and T.V. Nichols,<\/strong> both of Dixon Springs; a daughter, <strong>Mrs. Corinne Evetts,<\/strong> Dixon Springs; two brothers, <strong>Leslie Russell<\/strong>, Dixon Springs, and <strong>Patty Russell<\/strong>, Franklin, KY; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.\u00a0Alexander Funeral home, Lafayette, was in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>Source: Macon County Times, Lafayette, Tennessee, Thursday, 23 July 1959<\/p>\n<p>Submitted By: Shelta R.
