Richard Andrews is Victim of Paralysis
Richard Andrews, age 72 years, died at his home in the Dry Fork section of the county about one o’clock Monday afternoon of last week after months of ill health. However, death was attributed directly to a paralytic stroke. His wife, Mrs. Jane Dixon Andrews, died seven years ago. He is survived by four sons, Johnnie Andrews, who resided with his father; Robert Andrews, living nearby; Jesse Andrews, of Franklin, KY; and Benton Andrews, of the Pumpkintown section; one daughter Mrs. Ollie Brooks, who kept house for her father; and a number of grandchildren.
The remains were laid to rest about three thirty o’clock last Tuesday afternoon in the Shrum Cemetery at the home of Esquire O. L. Barnsfield, following funeral services conducted from Beech Bottom Baptist Church by Elder Calvin Gregory. The deceased was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for many years and was one of the good men of his section. He was the son of Albert Andrews, and was born and reared in the Dry Fork section.
