MITCHELL, CUNNINGHAM
My ggggrandfather Solomon MITCHELL was married to a Cherokee Indian, we don’t know her name, but they had 2 sons James and Steve and a dauther. We don’t know her name but she did marry a CUNNINGHAM. One day she decided to go visit her mother’s people and she tied her baby to the post of the bed and left. She never returned and we don’t know if she ran away or the Indians kidnapped her. They were living in the Lincoln County, Tennessee area and her father Solomon is buried in the Lincoln Cemetary. He was b. on 12-6-1830 and d. 1911. We know nothing about his wife or daughter. Any information would be wonderful in solving this mystery. Thank you

MORGAN, HOPKINS
LEWIS W. MORGAN, b. 1815 in Tenn., married SAMATHA HOPKINS 25 June 1846 in Shelbyville, Lincoln Cty. They had eight daughters. He was a farmer. In the 1870 census it gave —“Postoffice Lynchburg”, which is halfway between Shelbyville and Fayetteville. I can find info about my gr, gr, grandmother, their 5th child, that she was born in Shelbyville. Her children were born in Fayetteville. Am looking for death dates for Lewis and Samantha, and any info about their children. They are all in the 1880 census, but by the 1900 census, they have dissappeared. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

LITTLE, MICHAEL
I am searching for Michael Little born in Tenn. either 1824 or 1827 (different on two census forms). He moved to Scott County, Illinois by 1850. Can anyone help me with this person. I do not know his parents only that he was born in Tenn. According to 1830-1840 Tennessee Census there is a male child the right age in your county with the last name Little. Do you have any Little’s who moved to Scott County Illinois or that area?

WALKER, KIDD, MCCLUSKY
I AM SEARCHING FOR THE PARENTS OF JAPHETH WALKER BORN MARCH 16, 1820 IN LINCOLN COUNTY TENNESSEE. HE MARRIED SUSAN A KIDD 1842 ALSO FROM LINCOLN COUNTY TENNESSEE. THE WALKER FAMILY IS FIRST FOUND NEIGHBORS WITH THE MCCLUSKY FAMILY IN LINCOLN COUNTY 1820 CENSUS. 1820 CENSUS SHOWS THOMAS WALKER NEXT DOOR TO WILLIAM WALKER NEXT DOOR TO SAMUEL MCCLUSKY. I PICK THEM UP AGAIN IN PONTOTOC COUNTY MISSISSIPPI IN 1840. ACCORDING TO THE 1837 PONTOTOC COUNTY CENSUS THERE WERE NO WALKER’S IN THE COUNTY IN 1837. THE 1840 PONTOTOC COUNTY CENSUS SHOWS STEPHEN WALKER, WILLIAM WALKER, SAMUEL WALKER, JAPHETH WALKER NEXT DOOR TO JAPHETH BENJAMIN MCCLUSKY WHO HAD LIVING WITH HIM ROBERT KIDD 21 FROM TENN, JAMES W. WALKER, LYDIA WALKER, RILEY WALKER JOSIAH WALKER THOMAS WALKER. MY WALKER LINE STAYED IN PONTOTOC UNTIL THE MID TO LATE 1860’S WHEN THEY MOVED TO COMMANCHE COUNTY TEXAS WHERE JAPHETH DIED. I AM FAIRLY CERTAIN THAT ALL OF THE WALKERS SHOWN ON THE 1840 PONTOTOC COUNTY CENSUS ARE RELATED IN SOME WAY. I HAVE NO IDEA
