Zuckerbrod, Joseph D
Joseph Daniel Zuckerbrod was born on April 2, 1992, in “Long Island Jewish Hospital”, New York, to Ronald J. Zuckerbrod and Diana Goodwin. On August 3, 2025, Joseph went home to be with his Heavenly Father.
A true renaissance man, Joseph was known for his boundless curiosity and love of learning. He had an incredible gift for research and could speak knowledgeably on almost any subject, earning him the affectionate title of “human encyclopedia” from all who knew him.
Joseph’s many passions included horseback riding, target shooting, tennis, and karate, which he studied for three years. He loved spending time in the kitchen alongside his mother, replicating her recipes and helping with anything she needed. He was deeply devoted to his family, always there for his sisters, and took great pride in being the best uncle to his nieces and nephews. A loyal and dependable friend, Joseph could always be counted on to show up with support, wisdom, or a kind word.
Joseph is survived by his loving family: his father, Ronald J. Zuckerbrod; his mother, Diana Goodwin, and stepfather, Michael Anthony; his sisters, Jessica Zuckerbrod and Mechelle Boyle; nephews, Justin and Ryan LaRue; and niece, Kaitlyn Boyle. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Ruth and Jerald Zuckerbrod of New York.
His extended family includes Cathy Wilson and her son, Rob Wilson of South Carolina; uncle Alan and Cindy Zuckerbrod; aunt Nancy and Michael Roark; aunts Sharon Eastlake, Sandra Ayers, Bonnie and Jim Goff, Barbara and Charles Thompson, Myrna Curtis; and many beloved cousins.
Joseph will be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, adventurous spirit, and the love he freely shared with all who knew him. His presence will be missed, but his memory will remain a blessing forever.
