Mr. Dempsey Edward Goodman, born April 28, 1939, to the late Demps Goodman & Verlie Floyd, passed away at his home, on April 7, 2022, at the age of 82.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Dempsey was born and raised in Lewis County and was a member of the Class of 1957. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. <\/span><\/p>\n

On March 12, 1976, he married the love of his life, Mrs. Glenda Prince, and just last month had celebrated 46 years of marriage. He and his wife were members of the Hohenwald Church of Christ, he loved his family and friends dearly. In his spare time, he loved being outside and working in his yard. There were many times he mowed his yard multiple times in a week, just because he loved to do it. He loved to camp and travel, taking many trips with his family to the beach. After retirement, he and Mrs. Glenda traveled with numerous tour groups throughout the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Glenda Goodman, daughters, Roxanne (Tommy) Cagle, Susan (Randy) Holden, Starla Goodman (Brian) & Debbie Mitchell (Al), sisters, Annie Ruth Cotton & Faye Harrison, seven\u00a0 grandchildren, Daniel & Layla Graves, Jaxon Cagle, Jennifer Cater, Courtney Mitchell, Janie Myran and Jeremy Goodman and five great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM with Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County. Military Honors and Burial will immediately follow in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
