Cora was born in Bristol, Tennessee and passed away in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Cora married Don Ward in 1951, and they then moved to Centerville, Tennessee in 1952. Both Cora and Don were well known in Centerville. They spent 35 years working for the Hickman Farmer Corporation and managing their farm in Shipp&#8217;s Bend. Cora was preceded in death by her loving husband Don Ward in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Cora-Ward-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Cora is survived by three children, daughter Donna Beakley of Mandeville, Louisiana and two sons Robert Ward of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Walter Ward of Thompson Station, Tennessee. Cora was a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Cora-Ward-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Cora had many passions throughout her life &#8211; one was her faith in the Lord which she practiced as a longtime member of the Centerville Church of Christ. Cora also loved raising flowers in her garden which she arranged to share with nursing homes, senior citizens and friends. Cora was also well known for her clothes and hats, which she enjoyed selecting for her friends to enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Cora-Ward-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Cora was a loving and caring person who was known to always put others before herself.
