He is survived by one son, Michael Galloway of Hohenwald, TN.; four daughters, Sarah Bates of Franklin, TN., Shirley Freeman and Kaye Elmore both of Centerville, TN. and Judy Pitts of Columbia, TN.; sister, Eva Carroll of Hohenwald, TN.; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. Mr. Galloway was a retired Employee of Dana Corp. with over 20 years of service. Funeral services 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2000 at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Foster officiating. Interment Swiss Cemetery.<\/p>\n

Passed away at his residence June 22, 2000. Was born February 9, 1929 to Arthur Lee and Wilma Grimes in Mt. Joy, TN. A 1945 graduate of Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant, TN, he served in the United States Army in Germany. Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Grimes married Jana Sue Yokly of Hohenwald, TN. Also at that time he began a 39 year career with Tennessee Valley Authority. During this career his family spent 18 years in Wartrace, TN. He retired in 1988 while stationed at TVA’s Nashville Power Management Center on Lebanon Road. His family moved to Hohenwald, TN, following his retirement where he was a member of the Hohenwald Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Jana; son, Michael L. Grimes, Houston, TX; sister, Jeanette Woodward, Nashville, TN; brother, Don Grimes, Mt. Joy, TN; grandchildren, Christa, Hope and Ben Grimes. Funeral services will be conduct at 11 A.M. Saturday, June 24, 2000, with Steve Reeves officiating. Burial in the Swiss Cemetery. Visitation 4-9 P.M. Friday.<\/p>\n

Muscle Shoals, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Sunbridge Nursing Home, Muscle Shoals, Ala. Visitation was Wednesday evening at Spry Funeral Home, Sheffield, Ala. The funeral service will be Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel in Sheffield, Ala., with Riley Turner and Albert Hill officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Osborn was a native of Lewis County, Tenn., and had lived in this area over 60 years. She was a homemaker and faithful member of East Colbert Church of Christ, Ford City, Ala. Mrs. Osborn was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Emma Lyell of Hohenwald, Tenn.; and a sister, Irene Brawner of Madison, Tenn. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul R. Osborn, Muscle Shoals, Ala.; three daughters, Nancy Howell and husband, Bobby, of Muscle Shoals, Norma Alexander and husband, Tom, of Muscle Shoals, Paulette Bryant and husband, Bert, of Trussville, Ala. She also is survived by brothers, James W. Lyell of Muscle Shoals and Abner Lyell of Hohenwald, Tenn.; sisters, Pauline Crowell, Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Louise Williams, Hohenwald, Tenn., Lucy Greer, Kingston Springs, Tenn., Betty Ann Willis, Madison, Tenn. Grandchildren include Richard Howell and wife, Belene, John Alexander and wife, Christie, Sharon Fuller and husband, Don, all of Muscle Shoals, Samuel Bryant and Melanie Bryant of Trussville, Ala. Great-grandchildren are Lindsey and Zachary Howell, John Price and Annabeth Alexander and Addison Grace Fuller. Pallbearers will be Richard Howell, John Alexander, Don Fuller, Delano Osborn, Ricky Lyell and Bobby Davis. Honorary pallbearers include Howard Randolph Osborn, Mahlon Palmer, Louis Trousdale, James R. Romans and Clarence G. Brawner. Died on Saturday, October 15, 2000 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Mr. Smith was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served three years during World War II. His ship saw combat during the invasions of New Caledonia, Bougainville and the Philippines. He was a retired Employee of DuPont. Survivors include his wife, Donnell Rochelle Smith; three daughters, Darlon Smith of Centerville, Marsha Smith of Dallas, GA. and Karen Smith of Nashville; one sister, Tommie Mitchell Staggs of Hohenwald; three grandchildren, Kelley and Darren Hudson and Sarah Harmon all of Nashville; one nephew, Billy Neal Mitchell of Hohenwald. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Steve Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in the Nickell Cemetery in Centerville.
