She was born February 5, 1926, in Union City, Tennessee, the daughter of Albert A. and Celia (Bass) McCoy. Her family moved to Centerville in 1944.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Edith-Talbert-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and also a member of the Fairfield Baptist Church. She was a secretary and teacher for Hohenwald schools for many years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Edith-Talbert-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her husband Richard Talbert, three nephews, David (Lisa Olson Loftus) McCoy, Mark (Sarah) McCoy, Tom (Leighann) McCoy and niece-in-law Sheryl Eades, sisters-in-law, Catherine McCoury, Corine Parrish and Lorena (Alvin) Trayer. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Edith-Talbert-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald B. McCoy, sister-in-law Sterline McCoy, nephew James McCoy, great nephews Ryan and John McCoy, and her first husband Grady Dyer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Edith-Talbert-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Fairfield Baptist Church 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for family and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for friends with services immediately following with Rev. Mark Walton officiating.
