Thomas Ezra Herbison was born on December 29, 1935, in the Sugar Creek Community of Hickman County, Tennessee. He passed away on December 9, 2021, in Centerville, Tennessee. He was 85 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n

He is the son of the late William “Tommy” Thomas Herbison and Eula Genell Peeler Herbison. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Austin Peay Herbison.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was married to Grace Carolyn King, who has passed away, and they had three children together: Debbie Atkinson of Lyles, Jim Herbison of Lyles, and Gary (Carla) Herbison of Shelbyville. He was blessed with six grandchildren: Amy Gossett of Lyles, Lucas Atkinson of Columbia, Jennifer Stoops of Columbia, Thomas Herbison of Centerville, Rachel McCaleb of Lyles, and Mattie Herbison of Murfreesboro. Two Great Grandchildren: Aiden Gossett and Addison Gossett. His sister-in-law: Ruth Herbison. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was a veteran of the United States Army.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Herbison retired from the TVA where he worked as a linesman and a groundsman for over 25 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before his health began to decline, he was a member of the Fairfield Baptist Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

He loved singing, playing guitar, walking, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
