He was a United States Army Veteran and a truck driver by trade. He and his family moved all over the country before settling on Arkansas Rd in Hohenwald in 1999. His family described him as a wonderful, honest, strong, and loving man, someone who worked hard for his family but also worked hard for God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Joseph-Johnson-80\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is survived by his sons, Matthew (Amanda) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, Steven Johnson of Nashville, and Paul Johnson of Nashville; daughters, Teressa Johnson of Nashville, and Mary Malbon along with thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Joseph-Johnson-80\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul &amp; Mary Johnson, wife, Elaine Johnson and his son, Andrew Johnson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Joseph-Johnson-80\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday evening, December 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Lewis County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Joseph-Johnson-80\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 beginning at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home &#8211; Lewis County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Joseph-Johnson-80\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A private burial will take place in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"services-events\">\n<div class=\"services-content\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Joseph William Johnson, age 73 of Hohenwald, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on the evening of December 3, 2021.
