She was a native of Yuba City, California, a teacher with the Lawrence County school system, and a member of Summertown Baptist Church.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Sue Dennis Carothers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her husband, Steve Konig of Summertown; one daughter, Amanda Konig of Summertown; two sons, Kody Konig (Kate) of Simpsonville, SC and Chris Bowers of Florence, AL; two sisters, Debbie Uman (Tom) and Phyllis Reynolds, both of Yuba City, CA; one brother, Douglas Carothers of Parachute, CO; her father and step-mother, Elmer and Gloria Carothers of Yuba City, CA; and special aunt, Barbara Carothers (Allen) of Yuba City, CA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Arrangements were handled by Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A memorial service was conducted at Summertown Baptist Church Thursday, October 7, 2021, with Howard Kitter and Tim Abernathy officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wanda Konig, age 65, of Summertown passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.
