Jane was born in Hohenwald on July 15, 1947. Her parents were Emmett and Eva Goodman Quillen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Bill Lawson, two sons Evan (Abbe) of Hohenwald and Andrew (Lauren) of Brentwood, three grandchildren, Luke, Meredith, and Leighton, and her brother David Quillen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Jane graduated Lewis County High School in 1965 finishing 5th in her class and attended Columbia State Community College as the first class of Tennessee\u2019s first community college maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She then worked for many years in accounting and bookkeeping for Florence Crosthwaite, Janice Plemmons, and Jim Brewer for many years before retiring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She loved Tennessee sports and spent many Saturdays either very happy or upset depending on how her beloved Vols did.\u00a0 She enjoyed watching her kids and later grandkids playing sports but also attaining high academic success as well. Later she also enjoyed going and watching her sons\u2019 teams play as they went on to both be coaches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Jane was a member of Lomax Church of Christ; she supported her husband as an elder\u2019s wife for over 20 years. The family request in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with family and friends will be from 9:00 &#8211; 11:00 at Lomax Church of Christ on July 1, 2021. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Lomax Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.\u00a0 Brother Jeff Spears will be officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Adair Funeral &amp; Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jane Quillen Lawson, age 73, of Hohenwald, Tennessee passed away Thursday June 25, 2021.
