After retirement they moved to Coastal North Carolina, staying for about eight years. They then decided to go west, and settled in Hohenwald, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Carol has fought and beaten cancer four times. Anyone that knew her knew she was strong, tough, compassionate, and loved her friends, family, and dogs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She leaves behind her husband Fred; two sisters Patty Igel-Cruz and Joan Rasmussen; a daughter Christina (Kyle) Hudgins; two sons Robert Weis and Royal (Cindy) Weis; and three grandchildren C.J., Benji, and Michael.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Anyone who would like to make a donation in her honor may do so to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Adair Funeral &amp; Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carol Rita Weis was born January 28, 1941 in New York City, NY and passed away at her Hohenwald home on June 26, 2021.
