{"id":8704,"date":"2021-06-14T17:55:01","date_gmt":"2021-06-14T21:55:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=8704"},"modified":"2021-06-15T06:45:43","modified_gmt":"2021-06-15T10:45:43","slug":"anderson-dorothy-ann","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/anderson-dorothy-ann\/","title":{"rendered":"Anderson, Dorothy Ann"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">On the afternoon of June 13, 2021 Mrs. Dorothy Ann Anderson peacefully passed away at her Hohenwald home surrounded by family.\u00a0 Mrs. Dorothy was born on November 13, 1940, in Hohenwald to the late Joel and Clara (Anderson) Hanback. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Hanback.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with family and friends will be in the Chapel of Adair Funeral &amp; Cremation Services on Tuesday June 15, 2021 from 11:00-2:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 following visitation with burial after at Banks Cemetery. Elliott Hamm will be officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0Mrs. Anderson spent ten years working at Siegels\u00a0before beginning work at Walmart where she would retire from after 18 years.\u00a0 She was a member of Springer Church of Christ in Hohenwald.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In 1958 at the age of 18 she married the love of her life Mr. Eddie Anderson. In 63 years of marriage, they raised one son and have added 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren to the family. One of her favorite things was spoiling her grandbabies. She loved Holidays and gathering around all her loved ones to share big meals. Her time in the kitchen often produced the BEST chocolate pies that no one could deny. Time with her family was always the most important.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In their younger years she, Eddie and sometimes their son would set out for an adventure on their 1957 purple panhead Harley Davidson.\u00a0 She enjoyed spending time at the Tennessee River camping with her family or going two stepping with Eddie and listening to old country music. Some days she would sit with friends and enjoy a game of Bunco.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Along with her husband of 63 years Mr. Eddie Anderson, Dorothy is survived by her son Terry (Donna) Anderson; grandchildren David Anderson, Anna (Chad) Middleton, April Rhinehart, and Andrea (Matt) Carroll; great-grandchildren Haven, Brinley, Asher, Ella, Katie, and Rett Middleton, and Haylee and Emma Carroll.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the afternoon of June 13, 2021 Mrs. Dorothy Ann Anderson peacefully passed away at her Hohenwald home surrounded by family.\u00a0 Mrs. Dorothy was born on November 13, 1940, in Hohenwald to the late Joel and Clara (Anderson) Hanback.
