Barry Farris officiated. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Born on October 27, 1943 in Maury County, Neda was the daughter of the late John Farris and the late Lois Patton Farris. Besides her work as a homemaker, she was an artist who enjoyed drawing, painting, and building things out of wood. She often enjoyed studying ancestry and going to yard sales on Saturdays. She was a God-fearing Christian lady and a member of South Point Church of Christ. Affectionately known as Memaw, Neda loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her son, Steve Dickey of Hampshire; daughter, Donna Roberts of Columbia; brother, Lewis Farris of Columbia; sister, Angie (Bob) Young of Decatur, AL; grandchildren: Autumn (Jimmy) Carter, Brandon (Brianna) Roberts, Amber Roberts; great grandchildren: Braxton Roberts, Judson Carter, Josiah Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Dickey on May 3, 2015, whom she was married to for fifty-three blessed years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Pallbearers were Brandon Roberts, Jimmy Carter, Mark Richards, Bob Young, Matthew Young, and Joseph Brown.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Neda Alice Dickey, age 77, a resident of Hampshire, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living.
