Mildred \u201cGanGan\u201d Walker, age 94, a resident of Plains, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

Born on May 10, 1927 in Perry County, Tennessee, Mildred was the daughter of the late Grady Whitwell and Bessie Holt Whitwell. She was a mother, homemaker, and beloved grandmother. She enjoyed reading, hosting and entertaining, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She was known and loved by all who knew her for her sense of humor, quick wit, fierce loyalty, and love for her children and grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is survived by her children, Paula Walker Selva of Crawfordville, Florida, and Gilbert Neil Walker (Lisa) of Columbia, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Claressa Waters (Chris), Adam Walker (Andrea), Malissa Herring, Ryan Walker (Nichole), and Mary Walker; and great grandchildren, Christopher Waters, Zane Herring, Amya Herring, Julia Walker, William Walker, Cody Waters, Charlie Walker, and Emma Jane Walker.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence \u201cReb\u201d Walker, and by her siblings: Marie Drake, Pete Whitwell, Juanita Schwendimann, Kayo Whitwell, Sue Gilbert, and Patsy Lentz<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Services will be conducted in Hohenwald, TN at McDonald Funeral Home on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.\u00a0 The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm.\u00a0 Burial will be at Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
