He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard R and Margaret C McLaughlin of Bradenton FL. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Janice \u201cJan\u201d McLaughlin. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Looyengood and her dear son Andrew and sister Deborah (Drew) LaPres &#8211; all residing in FL, children Gordon Todd of TN, Kristen (Kevin) Metty of AL, 2 grandchildren (Alex &amp; Piper Metty), and many dear friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Raymond-Mclaughlin-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Being a self taught building contractor, Ray was a true \u2018jack of all trades\u2019 and was admired for his talent and hard work. He was honest, trustworthy, and a good family man and Papa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"obituary-text edit\" data-server-action=\"\/obituaries\/Raymond-Mclaughlin-2\/ProcessUpdateTributeObituary\" data-editclass=\"edit-obituary\" data-fieldtype=\"textarea\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
