James T. Johnson was born on May 4, 1939, and passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 81.\u00a0 He is the son of the late Thomas and Vada Meadors Johnson.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Mildred “Sue” Johnson, daughters, Wanda (Dave) Cummings and Connie (Paul) Shanes, grandchildren, Jacob Sealey, Joshua Sealey, Shaunda Sealey, Austin and Autumn Cummings, Dakota Shanes, Camryn Shanes, and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Abbie Gordon.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

James was a member of the McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church. He was self-employed as a Taxidermist for over 50 years. He served in the US Army. He was an avid sportsman who loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He taught his children and grandchildren to hunt, fish, and have a great respect for animals and the outdoors.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Visitation will be 16 Jan 2021 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman Co.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Graveside Services will be held 17 Jan 2021 at 1:30 PM at Chessor Cemetery, Centerville, TN.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
