Roy Jackson, 60, of Ooltewah, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was a graduate of Lewis County High School, Tennessee Tech, and Tusculum University. Roy held a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Management. He worked as an Industrial Engineer 30 plus years in automotive manufacturing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roy played football in high school and college. He had many interests in sports, antique cars, fishing, hunting, and golf.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roy’s favorite past-time was being a dad and spending time with his children. Roy was active in his children’s lives and he volunteered for many of his children’s activities. He coached t-ball, soccer, softball, and football teams for children in grades 2-8. He attended practices and competitions for cheerleading, gymnastics, swimming, basketball, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and all of the sports his children participated in. He loved every minute of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Jackson, his mother, Shirley Jackson, and his brother, Samuel.<\/span><\/p>\n

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Jackson; daughter, Paige Jackson; son, Christopher Jackson; and two brothers, Troy Jackson and Stacy Jackson.<\/span><\/p>\n

A chapel service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on January 9, 2021 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.<\/span><\/p>\n

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:30 pm following the service in the funeral home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roy will be laid to rest privately at Mount Olivet Cemetery<\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
