Moose, as most of you knew him was born in Lewis County to the late Albert and Bessie (Fain) Skelton on September 30,1941.\u00a0 Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Mrs.\u00a0 Billie Jo Ayers Skelton.\u00a0 Mr. Skelton began working in the Milk Distributing industry in the 1960\u2019s beginning his career at Seal Test Milk Company before taking a job at Purity Milk. After 30 years he retired, but then began working for South Central Resources delivering Meals on Wheels to Lewis and other surrounding counties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Moose, knew his passion for music, specifically country music. \u00a0With him being a professional Steel Guitar player, this allowed him to attend the Steel Guitar Convention in 1976 in St. Louis.\u00a0 Being invited to attend the convention, he was given an opportunity of a lifetime to sit in on sessions of some country music legends such as Loretta Lynn, Barbara Mandrel, and Dottie West, just to name a few. Since being known for his talent, in his spare time he would often hold private lessons to many that have now become famous in the country music industry. Even with an immense love for music nothing compared to his love for his family. Mr. Skelton was a dedicated and loving husband and father to his son.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mr. Albert leaves behind his son, Dennis L. Skelton; two granddaughters; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; and a host of family and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation will be held Monday October 12, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Tuesday October 13, 2020 with burial to follow at Beech Grove Cemetery in Pleasantville, TN. \u00a0Brother Bill Webb will be officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Albert \u201cMoose\u201d Skelton Jr. passed from this earthly world on October 6, 2020 at his Hohenwald home at the age of 79.
