He was born in Hohenwald, TN on October 2, 1948 to the late Leo Felix Schwendimann &amp; Billie Juanita (Whitwell) Schwendimann.<br \/>\nHe is survived by his wife, Gypsy Jo Schwendimann, Daughter, Cassi Fitzgerald, son-in-law, Russell Cothran, brother, Van Schwendimann and grandson, Harrison Cothran along with several nieces and nephews.<br \/>\nHe is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Schwendimann &amp; Billie (Whitwell) Schwendimann, daughter, Heidi (Schwendimann) Cothran and brothers, Tim &amp; Don Schwendimann.<\/p>\n<p>A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10 beginning at 1:00 PM at the Hohenwald Church of Christ, visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.<\/p>\n<p>Masks are recommended by all who attend and will be provided at the door.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to one of the following charities.<br \/>\n1)Belize Education Foundation, in care of Maury Hills Church, 101 Unity Lane, Columbia, TN 38401.<br \/>\n2)Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation: JDRF, PO BOX 37920, Boone IA 50037-0920 or online at\u00a0<a title=\"Click to open in a new window or tab\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jdrf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.jdrf.org\/<\/a><br \/>\n3) American Heart Association: American Heart Association\/ American Stroke Association PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or online at\u00a0https:\/\/www.heart.org\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gary Lee Schwendimann, age 72 of Hohenwald passed away at Maury Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
