She was 61 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is the daughter of the late &#8220;Shorty&#8221; Smith and Beulah Marlow Wallace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She was also preceded in death by her step-father Kenneth Hayden Brown and Sister Camilla Downer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She is survived by her life partner Larry Hinson. Her daughters Emily (Ray) Gordon and Misty McCoy. Son Wayne (Angie) Kelley. Siblings Mae (Rick) Morris, Billy (Pam) Brown, Ed (Betty) Brown, George Anna (Donnie) Goodman, Jackie (Robin) Weaver, Pam and Janet. Grandchildren Justin, Kendall, Kaleb, Jimmy, Ashley, Hailey, Wyatt, Covie, Olivia and Madison. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mrs. Gossett was a loving person. She loved Larry, her children, grandchildren and all of her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She had an excellent memory, and knew everyone&#8217;s birthday. She would make it a point to be the first one to call when your day came around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She had a &#8220;giddy&#8221; laugh that was unmistakable. She loved to fish. She had taken all of her kids and grandchildren at one time or another.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">She was an excellent cook and was well known for her fried chicken fingers and pinto beans. She also loved her Pepsi. It was her favorite beverage by far, and it was even better when paired with a Zero candy bar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Graveside services will be conducted by Mike Kendrick on 27 Sep 2020 at 2:00 PM at\u00a0Howard Cemetery,\u00a0Linden, TN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maggie Jean Gossett was born on October 2, 1958, in Statesville, North Carolina and passed away on September 24, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee.
