{"id":7459,"date":"2020-09-18T08:41:40","date_gmt":"2020-09-18T12:41:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=7459"},"modified":"2020-09-18T08:41:40","modified_gmt":"2020-09-18T12:41:40","slug":"mayberry-shirley-ann","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/mayberry-shirley-ann\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayberry, Shirley Ann"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Shirley Ann Mayberry, age 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 25, 2020, at her home in Columbia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Shirley was born on December 20, 1940, in Hohenwald to William Clifford and Mary Helen Hinson Moore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Shirley loved animals, nature, and generally just being outside. She was a gifted green thumb with her flowers. A lover of music and art, Shirley had the ability to sketch and craft. Besides being artistic and creative, Shirley was excellent with numbers and organization. This served her well in her career in banking where she retired as an Executive of Union Planters Bank in Hohenwald. Shirley had other hobbies such as learning to fly airplanes and sewing. Most of all, Shirley loved her family and cherished the time with them as well as taking care of her husband, William, late in his life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A memorial service in the style of a gathering will be held in memory of Shirley&#8217;s life on Thursday, July 30, 2020, from 2-6 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Shirley is survived by her daughter, Kelly Anderson (Roy Bullock) of Mount Pleasant; grandson, Roderick &#8220;Court&#8221; Anderson; sister, Joyce Keathley; brother, Gary Moore; and friend of the family, Alexis Easterwood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Mayberry, whom she was married to for over 50 years, and brother, Billy Moore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Williams Funeral Home &amp; Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shirley Ann Mayberry, age 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 25, 2020, at her home in Columbia.
