Interment followed in the Holder Cemetery in Linden.\u00a0 Mrs. Herring was born May 13, 1934 in Perry County to the late John Will and Lillie Carter Landers. She was a nurse at the Lewis County Hospital.\u00a0 Survivors include three sons, Robert Collins (Sandra) of Hohenwald, Claudie Collins (Lorie Lynn) of Dickson, Tim Collins (Patsy) of Dyer; three daughters, Debbie Cotham (Dwight) of Columbia, Pam Bailey (Bud) of Mt. Pleasant and Kim Salcido (Eddie) of Claremore, Oklahoma; two brothers, J. B. Landers of Hohenwald and W. C. Landers of Linden; two sisters, Dean Holder of Trenton and Lona Powell of Ethridge; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.\u00a0 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ray Herring and a sister, Netta Davis.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eddie Collins Herring, age 76, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home in Hohenwald.\u00a0 Funeral services were held Sunday, December 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Brent Landers, pastor of General Assembly and Church of the First Born, officiating.
