W. Alley, and Johnny Ward officiating.\u00a0 Interment followed in the Ward-Peace Cemetery.\u00a0 Mr. Ward, a self-employed heavy equipment operator and employee of Graham Lumber Company for twenty-five years, was born in Perry County on December 29, 1942 to the late Leonard Brown Ward and Elsie Inman Ward. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.\u00a0 Survivors include his wife of twenty-four years, Dale Ann Ward of Linden; children, David (Melinda) Ward of Hohenwald, Lisa Hidgon of Linden, Jamie (Jennifer) Ward of Cincinnati, Ohio, Vickie Avrett and Bruce Avrett, both of Scotts Hill; two sisters, Norma (Jackie) Duncan and Christine (John) Broadway, both of Linden; and five grandchildren.\u00a0 In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ezekiel Inman and Adline Graham Inman, paternal grandparents, James Arthur (Boss) Ward and Clara Richardson Ward; step-father, Grade Richardson.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jerry Donald Ward, 69, passed away December 9, 2010, at his home in Linden.\u00a0 Funeral services were held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Young Funeral Home with Dennis Phillips, J.
