Burial took place in the Gordonsburg Cemetery with McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.\u00a0 A truck driver for Lewis County Highway Department, Mr. Calvert was born April 28, 1937 in Hohenwald to the late Bartey Bailey Calvert and Mary Crowell Calvert.\u00a0 Survivors include four sons, Arthur Calvert of Jackson, Michigan, Roy Jr., Leroy, and Joe Calvert, all of Hohenwald; three daughters, Carolyn Allen of Madison, Mississippi, Mary Marlin and Christina Calvert, both of Hohenwald; three brothers, James and John Calvert of Oklahoma and Harold Calvert of Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roy Elliott Calvert, Sr., age 72, died February 28, 2010 at his son\u2019s residence in Hohenwald.\u00a0\u00a0 Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 3, 2010, 2:00 p.m., at Gordonsburg Church of Christ with Tommy Hood officiating.
