Peeler and Celia J. Hinson Peeler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Simpson Stricklin.\u00a0 She attended Lewis County High School in Hohenwald and business college in Nashville. Prior to coming to Wilmington, she and her family resided in Oak Ridge, Huntsville, Alabama, Sidell, Louisiana, and San Jose, California.\u00a0 Mrs. Stricklin was a member of Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church. She had worked for the City of Wilmington in Public Utilities division and was a member of Eastern Star #390 in Oak Ridge and a former member of the Marbella American Business Women\u2019s Association.\u00a0 She is survived by her daughter, Susan S. Howard of Boca Raton; her niece, Suva Ann Bastin and husband, Jack, of Clarksville; and several grand nieces and nephews.\u00a0 A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Andrews Market Street Chapel.
