{"id":5943,"date":"2020-09-08T16:04:51","date_gmt":"2020-09-08T20:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/?p=5943"},"modified":"2020-09-08T16:04:51","modified_gmt":"2020-09-08T20:04:51","slug":"hensley-shirley-gail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lewis\/hensley-shirley-gail\/","title":{"rendered":"Hensley, Shirley Gail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><em><strong>Shirley Gail Hensley<\/strong><\/em>, 65 went peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior Monday September 7, 2020 at her Hohenwald home.\u00a0 She was born May 2,1955 in Waynesboro to the late Thomas and Modean (Crews) Luna.\u00a0 Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving mother in law, Mrs. Lucille Hensley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">On May 8,1971, Shirley married her best friend and soulmate, Mr. Jerry Hensley and they recently celebrated their 49th anniversary. During their 49 years of marriage, Mrs. Hensley made a career of being a homemaker and raising and tending to their two beautiful children Rodney and Kristin.\u00a0 During quiet times she enjoyed getting lost in the chapters of a good book or heading to the mountains to take in all of Gods beautiful landscapes. \u00a0Shirley was known as the rock that held the family together and loved nothing more than being surrounded by those she loved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mrs. Hensley is survived by her husband, Jerry Hensley; Children, Rodney (Kathy) Hensley and Kristin Gail Hensley; grandchildren Kaitlyn (Jacob) Etchison, Emma Hensley, Kynedie Hensley, Brianna Haynes, and Carson Hensley; great grandchildren, Caroline Etchison and Grayson McDonald; aunt Carolyn Staggs; siblings, Terry (Trish) Luna, Rhonda Long, and Steve (Sheryl) Luna; and several nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday September 9th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Pleasantville Pentecostal Church in Pleasantville, TN. Visitation will continue Thursday September 10th from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Swiss Cemetery in Hohenwald, TN.\u00a0 Brother Mike Tanner will be officiating with Brother Dwight Himes leading the musical selections of the day. Pallbearers will be Michael Hensley, Justin Hensley, Greg Hensley, Terry Luna, Steve Luna, and Jacob Etchison.
